Repository Policy
Repository Policy
The MISJ – International Journal of Medical Research and Allied Sciences (MISJ-IJMRAAS), published by Malwa International Scientific Journals (MISJ), supports responsible self-archiving and open dissemination of scholarly research to improve the accessibility, visibility, discoverability, and long-term preservation of published scientific content.
1. Preprint Policy
Authors may deposit preprint versions of their manuscripts, including versions prepared prior to peer review, in:
-
institutional repositories;
-
subject-specific repositories; and
-
recognized preprint servers.
Preprints should clearly indicate that the manuscript has not undergone peer review. Where applicable, authors should update the repository record with a citation and link to the final published version after publication.
2. Postprint and Published Version Policy
Authors are permitted to archive:
-
the Accepted Manuscript (Postprint); and/or
-
the final published version (Version of Record / Publisher PDF)
in:
-
institutional repositories;
-
subject-specific repositories;
-
personal academic or professional websites; and
-
funding agency or other recognized repositories.
Authors may archive these versions without an embargo period.
Archived versions should include the appropriate bibliographic citation and, where possible, a link to the official published version on the MISJ-IJMRAAS website.
3. Licensing and Copyright
All archived versions remain subject to the applicable copyright and licensing terms.
Articles published in MISJ-IJMRAAS are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
Under the CC BY 4.0 license, users may share, copy, redistribute, adapt, and reuse the published material, including for commercial purposes, provided that appropriate attribution is given, a link to the license is provided, and any changes are indicated.
Authors retain copyright of their published work in accordance with the journal’s Copyright and Licensing Policy.
4. Repository Archiving and Long-Term Preservation
Authors are encouraged to use recognized repositories that support stable access and, where available, persistent identifiers such as DOIs or other permanent links.
Repository archiving supports:
-
wider accessibility and discoverability of research;
-
open scholarly communication;
-
responsible sharing and reuse of research outputs; and
-
long-term preservation of scholarly work.
5. Author Responsibility
Authors are responsible for ensuring that deposited versions are consistent with the journal’s copyright, licensing, ethical, and research-integrity requirements.
Authors should not remove or alter the original bibliographic information, attribution, or citation details when archiving their work.
Conclusion
The MISJ-IJMRAAS Repository Policy permits authors to responsibly share, archive, and preserve their research without an embargo period while maintaining appropriate attribution, citation, licensing information, and links to the official published version.
This policy supports open access, responsible self-archiving, broad dissemination of scholarly research, and the long-term preservation of the scholarly record.
